Sneaker and streetwear retailer SNIPES launches their new community initiative, We All Eat, designed to tackle the problem of food insecurity throughout the United States. SNIPES has joined forces with Dion’s Chicago Dream and CookUnity to provide capital, hands-on support, and innovative solutions to address the lack of healthy food options in communities throughout the country.

Dion’s Chicago Dream is an organization that focuses on combating hunger to ensure financial, physical, and emotional stability for Chicago residents. SNIPES is working with Dion’s Chicago Dream to fight food insecurity in 24 Chicago neighborhoods. Together, SNIPES and Dion’s Chicago Dream will be providing a week’s worth of fresh produce to households every week for three months. Dion’s Chicago Dream already provides more than 11,000 pounds of fresh produce to 1,300 residents per week. With the help of SNIPES, the organization will set a goal of feeding 10,000 residents each week.

SNIPES’ We All Eat campaign is also made possible with the help of CookUnity, a national chef-collective that aims to share healthy meals beyond the restaurant. This holiday season, SNIPES and CookUnity will provide nutritious meals to people in need around Newark, Atlanta, and Brooklyn. Each week, residents in these communities will receive high-quality, chef-inspired meals created by Ahktar Nawab, chef and owner of Alta Calidad in New York and Otra Vez in New Orleans. SNIPES and CookUnity will deliver 600 meals per week to the residents in the aforementioned communities. To amplify the initiative, SNIPES and CookUnity have partnered with the following civic organizations in each market: C.H.O.I.C.E.S. Atlanta, The Apostle’s House Newark, and YWCA Brooklyn.

The SNIPES “We All Eat” program begins in November 2022 and will run for three months in its first round. Get involved and watch the journey unfold by following @SNIPES_USA on Instagram.
