Last week, the Air Jordan 2 OG “Chicago” returned as the brand continues to show love to the Air Jordan 2.
Debuted in 1986, the Air Jordan 2 marked a premium and elevated era for the brand as genuine iguana Italian leather was used on the shoe’s build. Nearly four decades after its initial release, Jordan Brand brought back the icon.
Extra Butter, the Lower East Side staple, held an activation for the return of the “Chicago” Air Jordan 2. In addition to curating a cinematic content series profiling three cultural tastemakers, EB also highlighted the core elements of the sneaker. The LES retailer also reimagined its store experience, paying tribute to the model’s Italian heritage by incorporating a Fiat & Italian fabrics throughout.
