Nike Celebrates Air Max Day With Japanese Designed Air Max 1 “Design By Japan”

With Air Max Day 2023 just around the corner, Nike has allowed people in Japan to design their very own Air Max 1.

Aptly dubbed the Nike Air Max 1 “Design by Japan”, the pair nods to the Nike Sting with its “White,” “Green”, and “Orange” color scheme. The model’s ‘70s aesthetic is further played out with its mix of mesh, leather, and suede construction, as well as the vintage-esqe tongues, laces, and midsole. Rounding out the final design cues are the Gold Air Max 1 hangtags, retro tongue branding, and graphic insoles.
