Up-and-coming designer Mowalola Ogunlesi is on a roll as the London-based creative is set to release a Timberland collaboration. This partnership follows her New Balance sneaker pack which offered two colorways of the New Balance 90/60.
Known for her color-clashing and eye-catching designs, Mowalola tones it down for Timberland as the upcoming boot appears to sport its classic Wheat upper. Everything from the Dark Brown ankle collar to the Gold eyelets stay intact, as well as the embossed Timberland tree on the heel counter. Mowalola uses the 6-inch boot to create an homage to New York, as the Yankees symbol is perforated across the upper.
Timberland has been consistent with its collaborative efforts recently, inviting Stussy, BEE Line, and even Vans to reinvent their silhouettes. As for Mowalola, the designer is beginning to make a name for herself in the footwear space, as well as working on her own namesake label. Her pieces have been seen on Drake, Skepta, and even Naomi Campbell.
The Mowalola x Timberland boots are rumored to release on February 18, 2023. The retail price is unknown. To purchase, visit Mowalola.com and Timberland.com. For more footwear news and release dates, follow @NiceKicks on Twitter.
