Jordan Brand officially lands in Tokyo as World of Flight Shibuya store is now open. The brand new retail location is the first Jordan-only store in Japan. Jordan Brand is on a quest of world domination as the Shibuya location follows the opening of the World of Flight Milan store.

The new Shibuya store spans 9,200-square-feet with every nook and cranny being a tribute to basketball culture, as well as Jordan Brand’s identity and heritage. To celebrate the launch of the store, Jordan Brand invited Travis Scott to perform.

The store itself is located on Meiji Dori Street near Yoyogi Park, within the Shibuya neighborhood of Tokyo. For decades, this area has served as a hub for Japanese culture, fashion, and street style.

When shoppers walk inside the store, they are greeted with a special entry portal that mimics entering the court in an NBA arena. The space embodies the culture and spirit of Tokyo, while keeping basketball at the forefront with memorabilia, artwork, photos, and collectors’ items.

Jordan Brand invited local creatives to be apart of the store as elements of the design incorporate a legendary Tokyo-based collector’s private Jordan collection, as well as murals and artwork that combine Japanese storytelling with the legacy of Jordan Brand.

As for product offerings, Tokyo can expect high-heat Jordan Brand footwear and apparel for men’s, women’s and kids. The World of Flight Shibuya store will also be offering a customization station, SNKRS pick-up services for Nike Members, and a content-creation studio for shoppers; a first-ever for Jordan Brand.
