For its latest collaborative effort, New Balance has tapped footwear retailer DTLR for a special edition 2002R that pays homage to the state of Virginia with its unique design and color scheme.

Teased via DTLR itself, from what we can see from the initial image, the upcoming DTLR x New Balance 2002R “Virginia Is For Lovers” is inspired by Virginia’s state slogan and combines vintage aesthetics with modern comfort and performance features. The pair is clad in a white, black, and red color way, directly pulled from the slogan’s sign.
