New Balance Taps Wtaps’ Tetsu Nishiyama For A 990v6 Collab

Japanese streetwear label Wtaps and its founder Tetsu Nishiyama have once again been tapped by New Balance. This time around the parties have joined forces on an upcoming reworked 990v6 Made in USA silhouette.

Dubbed the Wtaps x New Balance 990v6 Made in USA, the forthcoming collaborative sneaker is decked out in neutral grey hues covering its mix-textile upper crafted from premium mesh and suede.

Continuing with Wtaps’s signature military aesthetics, the pair boasts hits of grey on the heel, collar and toe box. Final details include the “Wtaps” branding on the tongue, heel, and insole. Rounding out the final design cues are the two-toned FuelCell cushioned midsole in white and grey, as well as the grey rubber outsole.
