Pharrell Williams‘ direction with Louis Vuitton continues as the multi-faceted mogul has officially announced his latest work — a Louis Vuitton x Timberland collection.
The collection is centered around American Western workwear origins through Louis Vuitton’s signature craftsmanship and high-level execution while combining utility, elegance, and comfort.
Previewed earlier this year during Paris Fashion Week, LV and Timberland will rework the iconic boot in seven different offerings as the hip-hop and pop culture staple is the canvas for Pharrell Williams’ FW 24 collection.
The LV 6-inch boot is introduced across two designs and several iterations. Each style is created in premium supple Italian nubuck leather with an insulation system, and seam-sealed waterproof construction, and features the work boot’s signature rubber lug outsole.
The partnership extends with the LV Boot, reimagining the 6-inch silhouette by fifteen percent for a directional take on the classic with five different forms, each featuring the rubber lug outsole. An ankle boot takes shape in the signature wheat-colored or black-grained leather with a Monogram-embossed finish.
The inaugural Louis Vuitton and Timberland capsule collection will release fifty editions of a premium, highly exceptional LV 6-inch ankle boot. Created in a collaboration among the shoe, jewelry, and Louis Vuitton experts, the work boot is crafted in Classic Monogram premium supple waterproof Italian leather with a bespoke interpretation of the work boot rubber lug outsole. Additionally, the pairs feature 18K gold LV tongue initials, Louis Vuitton eyelets, lace tips, and tag hardware. The LV tongue initials are inscribed with the words “THE SUN IS SHINING ON US,” expressed by Williams during his debut show for Louis Vuitton in June 2023. The masterpiece in shoemaking comes in a bespoke Monogram leather and plexiglass shoebox with VVN trims presented on the Fall-Winter 2024 runway.
The Louis Vuitton x Timberland collection is available via pre-order on LouisVuitton.com and the Louis Vuitton app on July 18, 2024, with a global release on August 8, 2024, at select stores.
