PJ Tucker and his sneaker prestige continue to grow as the undisputed sneaker king is releasing his second Nike shoe.
Following the release of the Nike Zoom Kobe 5 Protro “PJ Tucker PE” from 2020, PJ Tucker and Nike Basketball are celebrating the 35th anniversary of the Nike Air Flight 89 through the collaborative sneaker.
The upcoming PJ Tucker x Nike Air Flight 89 Low “Sky Blue” draws inspiration from PJ Tucker’s roots and basketball journey. The baby blue nods to his home in Raleigh, North Carolina. In addition to the shoe’s design, the rolling luggage with the sky pattern simultaneously serves as a vessel for PJ’s story of playing pro basketball overseas before returning to the NBA and becoming a huge asset to final contenders year after year. The shoe’s elephant print-like nubuck upper and the “Flight PJ 17” branding embroidered onto the heel add a touch of luxury. Additionally, the sky motif is found on the insole and shoe box.
A release date for the PJ Tucker x Nike Air Flight 89 Low “Sky Blue” has not been announced. However, we anticipate the pair to release on SNKRS and select retailers this year.
