Grammy-nominated music artist Jelly Roll announced in January that he would commit himself to training for the 2 Bears 5K with Bert Kreischer and Tom Segura on May 7th as part of his health journey leading up to his nationwide tour that kicks off in August.

The 39-year-old singer told People that he has lost around 70 pounds and hopes to lose more as he is working out more and eating healthier.

“I’m probably down 70-something pounds,” People quoted the singer. “I’m eating healthy right now.”

“I’m doing two to three miles a day, four to six days a week. I’m doing 20 to 30 minutes in the sauna, six minutes in a cold plunge every day,” he continued.

Speedland athlete Cam Hanes shared a photo ahead of yesterday’s race holding a pair of the Speedland GS:PGH that Hanes worked with the brand in the development process.

Speedland was founded by footwear industry veterans Dave Dombrow and Kevin Fallon who share decades of experience developing products for Nike, Puma, and Under Armour.
