Kevin Durant added to his legacy as the Reaper donned the Nike KD 17 “Gold Medal” PE as he and Team USA beat France in the 2024 Paris Olympics to win gold.

Although Durant’s Olympics started a little rocky after Durant called out Nike for his absence in the “Winning Isn’t For Everyone” campaign, the Swoosh and KD ended on a high note as the brand celebrated Durant for becoming Team USA’s all-time leading scorer.

In addition to his historic accolade, Durant was instrumental in Team USA’s gold medal path coming in clutch when the team needed him the most. Durant, who is on his seventeenth signature shoe, wore an all-new colorway of the Nike KD 17 with a golden spin on the “USA” Nike KD 17 that released earlier in July.

Like the general release version, the pair was built with a predominantly white upper, Swoosh, and midsole. Additionally, the Air Max Plus-inspired TPU cage arrived in the gradient& textured red-to-blue outfit. But the shining detail arrived on the heel and tongue as an iridescent-like metallic gold finish was applied to both areas.

As of now, the pair isn’t expected to have a retail release and will remain a Player Exclusive (PE) for Durant.
