The Nike Clogposite run continues as the Nike Clogposite “Green Goblin” colorway arrives this year.

First introduced in the early 2000s, the Clogposite was an obscure hybrid sneaker that blended elements of Nike’s Foamposite technology with the ease of a slip-on clog. Originally designed as a house or recovery shoe for athletes, the Clogposite is notable for its futuristic design, durable construction, and use of foam material that molds to the wearer’s foot over time.

The shoe’s upper features a molded foamposite shell, reminiscent of the popular Nike Foamposite basketball shoes, known for their snug fit and durability. The Clogposite has a slip-on design with an open back, offering convenience and comfort, while the rugged foam upper provides support and protection. Its aesthetic is bold, with a sleek, almost alien-like appearance, making it stand out as both a fashion statement and a practical recovery shoe.

Despite its initially niche market, the Clogposite has gained a cult following over the years, especially among sneaker enthusiasts and collectors. Its combination of innovative design and limited availability has made it a sought-after item for those interested in unique and unconventional footwear. The Clogposite resurgence kicked off this year, continuing to tap into the nostalgia and appreciation for this quirky yet functional design.

This year, the Clogposite will hark back to the Nike Flightposite OG “Metallic Gold/Black” colorway, which is returning this holiday season. As the Flightposite was iconically worn by the Green Goblin in the 2002 Spider-Man film, the Swoosh will also release a “Green Goblin” Clogposite as the silhouette’s momentum carries through the final months.
