Aimé Leon Dore is diving deep into New Balance‘s vault as the Queens-based brand unveiled the upcoming Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 475 collection.
The New Balance 475 was designed in 1986 and made its rounds in the ’90s as a versatile runner, designed for both performance and everyday wear. Staying true to its roots, the shoe’s original design emphasized function and simplicity, aligning with the era’s focus on clean, no-frills aesthetics. In typical ALD fashion, the upcoming capsule will blend practicality with quality.
ALD, known for working with a range of in-the-now and forgotten models, will continue to add energy to New Balance’s historic line as the upcoming set of NB 475 colorways stay true to the brand’s signature DNA from the color palette to the subtle luxury.
The first pair arrives in sail, reed, blue, and yellow. The second pair arrives in sail and ALD’s signature green. Both pairs are composed of nubuck, mesh, and cracked leather.
The Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 475 collection releases in the U.S. and internationally on September 20, 2024, and in the EU on September 27, 2024.
