Caitlin Clark‘s rookie season lived up to (and arguably surpassed) the expectations. The soon-to-be-next Nike signature athlete did it all from breaking records to bringing out high-heat Player Exclusives (PEs) and being crowned the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year.
Though her postseason run with the Indiana Fever was cut short after a first-round exit, Clark’s rookie season was nothing short of spectacular. And she had her shoe game to match.
As we await to see what Clark’s first signature shoe will look like, we recap all the heat the ROTY brought out from Sabrina 1s to Nike Kobe Protros.
Take a look at every pair worn by Clark below.
Nike Sabrina 1 “Brooklyn’s Finest”
- The next wave of WNBA signature athletes is here and there’s nothing more poetic than CC wearing Sabrina’s first signature shoe for media day
- The “Brooklyn’s Finest” colorway boasts a loud pastel look with light blue, yellow, and purple coming together on the Sabrina 1
Nike Kobe 5 Protro “Bruce Lee”
- The Protro line has allowed Kobe fans (and athletes) to re-experience their favorite colorways, with performance-enhanced features
- The “Bruce Lee” Kobe 5 is an elite Kobe colorway, highlighting the deep bag that Nike Basketball had with its storytelling
Nike Kobe 5 Protro “Alternate Bruce Lee”
- While the Protro line has brought back classics, it’s also opened up the doors for new colorways
- While “Alternate” or “Reverse” iterations don’t always create hype like the original, the “Alternate Bruce Lee” Kobe 5 Protro was a hit
Nike Kobe 5 Protro PE
- Caitlin Clark was masterful in her PE collection as we await her inaugural signature shoe
- Inspired by the Fever, navy, hyper pink, and yellow take over the Kobe 5
Nike Kobe 5 Protro PE
- What’s better than one Fever-themed Nike Kobe 5 Protro PE? Two
- The duality of the dark blue/almost black colorway serves as a nod to her Iowa legacy and her Fever days
Nike Kobe 6 Protro “Italian Camo”
- The Protro treatment on the “Italian Camo” was a bit of a head-scratcher at first, given that one would expect more notable Kobe 6 colorways (such as “FC Barcelona Mango” or “Orange County”) would get the nod first
- Nonetheless, Kobe fans and Clark were hyped for the “Italian Camo” colorway to return
Nike Kobe 6 Protro “Grinch”
- There’s arguably no Kobe colorway (spanning across all models) more iconic than the “Grinch” Nike Kobe 6
- Seen on the feet of the Mamba on Christmas Day at Staples Center, the vibrant apple green with black and red details still captures the same “wow” factor on and off the court
Nike Kobe 6 Protro “All-Star”
- The “All-Star” Kobe 6 is an undeniable classic
- Perfectly tying into the Fever’s color scheme, it was a no brainer for Clark to bring these out several times throughout her rookie campaign
Nike Kobe 6 Protro “All-Star 2.0”
- Nike’s pre-heat method of its high-level athletes wearing upcoming releases is a method that will never cease to fail
- Rumored for 2025, the Nike Kobe 6 “All-Star 2.0” will arrive in a sail treatment with starry details
Nike Kobe 6 Protro “WNBA All-Star”
- Despite not making the 2024 Paris Olympic team, Caitlin Clark still had a memorable summer representing at the All-Sar Game with the head-turning Nike Kobe 6 “WNBA All-Star” PE
- If there’s one Protro PE we’d love to see Nike release, this one is definitely up there
Nike Kobe 6 Protro PE
- The upper of the Kobe 6 will always be a great canvas for colorways, especially if there’s a gradient design
- Black, blue, yellow, and lime green might sound a bit odd, but they work together perfectly on Clark’s Kobe 6 Protro PE
Nike Kobe 6 Protro PE
- Clark’s final Nike Kobe 6 PE was more reserved than her previous PEs as grey, light blue, and white arrived on the Kobe 6
- We hope to see some of these color combinations transfer over into her signature line
