Devin Booker‘s signature shoe success will continue with the Nike Book 2, confirmed by Booker during the 2024-2025 Phoenix Suns media day ahead of the new season.
Last year, Book and Nike Basketball unveiled the Nike Book 1, fusing modern performance with rich elements found throughout Nike’s storied basketball heritage.
“[The] Nike Book 2 is definitely in the works,” he told Nice Kicks during the press conference.
But ahead of the sophomore signature shoe, the Suns guard went on to say what more fans can expect in the upcoming months.
“A lot of more Book 1s this year. I’m going to continue to try to tell my story,” Booker said. “I’ve kept it consistent with every colorway that drops is either Phoenix-inspired, Arizona-inspired, or some type of story from my past.”
Throughout the season, Booker donned a plethora of Book 1 colorways, including Player Exclusives (PEs) that drew inspiration from Swoosh icons.
“A lot of the Book 1s, especially with the PEs, have been colorways that you’ve seen before from the past,” he said. “That’s just me paying homage, understanding sneakers are super important to me growing up and definitely still are now.”
While some pairs will remain exclusive for Booker, the “Forrest Gump” Nike Book 1, “Moss Point” Nike Book 1, and the “1995 All-Star” Nike Book 1s are expected to release in 2025 as a lead-up to the Book 2.
“Paying homage to those colorways, to those silhouettes that have shaped the game and changed sneaker culture forever.”
