The Nike Zoom Fly 6 lands as the latest in Nike‘s quest to bridge the gap between race-day performance and daily training, pushing the limits of speed, comfort, and versatility in one streamlined package.

Touted as the ultimate super trainer, this sixth version is loaded with Nike’s top-tier tech, designed to support runners from grueling tempo runs to their peak performance on race day.

Lighter and faster than previous iterations, the Zoom Fly 6 is at least 10% lighter than its predecessor, thanks to a reimagined build that integrates a full-length carbon fiber FlyPlate with layers of Nike’s ZoomX and SR-02 foams. The FlyPlate enhances propulsion, giving runners a smooth, energized toe-off and flexible transitions for daily wear. ZoomX foam, Nike’s most responsive midsole compound, adds another layer of energy return, allowing runners to channel power into every stride.

Nike’s design team also paid close attention to the upper, crafting it with a two-layer woven mesh that balances a sock-like fit with lightweight durability and breathability. The updated outsole, lined with a thin web of rubber, provides grip without compromising the shoe’s featherweight feel, ensuring runners maintain traction across different surfaces.

As with Nike’s elite Racing collection, the Zoom Fly 6 was put through rigorous testing by Eliud Kipchoge, the world-renowned marathoner and Breaking2 icon. Kipchoge tested the silhouette on both asphalt and Kenya’s iconic red clay roads, collaborating with Nike to refine the shoe’s energy return and comfort. Kipchoge noted, “This is the shoe runners should choose for their workouts all week long, instead of the ‘super shoes’ some are using for their long runs and fartleks. The redesigned Zoom Fly performs at a high level and is very responsive, with wonderful cushioning from impact and great movement from heel to forefoot.”

The Nike Zoom Fly 6 releases on November 1, 2024, via Nike.com and select retailers with a special Eliud Kipchoge colorway releasing in December.
