The Por La Familia x HOLO Zeus merges meaningful storytelling with sustainable design, making every detail a tribute to the heritage and family roots of PLF founder Mark Lopez.

Por La Familia began in 2019 with the Por La Familia x Nike Air Max 1, part of Nike’s Cultivator program. The Phoenix-based brand embodies a celebration of Mark’s Latino roots with his Mexican and Salvadoran heritage with a modern, streetwear-forward approach.

The collaborative sneaker arrives with a design that reflects the values of both brands, drawing attention to Latino culture and a commitment to eco-friendly footwear.

The Zeus is grounded in vibrant symbolism, with colors that tell Mark’s story. Pink dominates the upper, honoring the femininity and strength of the women in his life — especially his mother, sister, and grandmother. Accents of green and red celebrate his Mexican heritage, while gold details nod to the Salvadoran coat of arms, linking back to his family’s roots and identity.

Beyond aesthetics, the materials are a testament to HOLO Footwear’s mission of sustainable innovation. Crafted with recycled and eco-friendly components, the Zeus is lightweight yet durable, providing a comfortable wear without sacrificing quality or environmental consciousness. With a breathable mesh base and supportive overlays, it’s designed for versatility, easily transitioning from casual wear to more active settings.

Textured elements add depth to the design, while PLF and HOLO branding on the tongue and heel cap off the shoe with a signature touch. The midsole features a cushioned build optimized for all-day wear, pairing with a grippy, patterned outsole for stability on various surfaces.

The Por La Familia x HOLO Zeus releases for $100 at HOLOFootwearInc.com on November 9, 2024, at 8 a.m. MST. The pair will also be available later that day at the PLF x HOLO pop-up at 1902 E. McDowell Rd. Phoenix, AZ 85006 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. local time.
