Yesterday marked the ten-year anniversary of the terrorist attack on America, and essentially, the changing of the entire world?s collective path. At the helm of popular and sports cultures in the US, the NFL has always been the most visible national sport. Given yesterday?s importance to this great nation, Under Armour and Reebok saw it fit to outfit their respective players with commemorative cleats and gear honoring those lost on that terrible Tuesday in 2001. Under Armour honored the FDNY and NYPD, as well as the Wounded Warrior Project, while the Vector went with patriotic coloring and stars and stripes. The game-worn gear will be auctioned off for various charities in the near future.
