For the fall of 2009 Vans will be paying tribute to artist Rick Griffin. Griffin passed away in 1991, but his legacy lives on through his artwork. He pioneered the psychedelic art genre in the 60’s that became synonymous with rock bands like the Grateful Dead.

The Rick Griffin x Vans Vault 2009 collection features Griffin’s artwork on a number of classic Vans silhouettes. From the Slip-on, No Skool and Old Skool, to the Sk8 Hi, there is something for every style from mild to wild in the pack. There is even a shirt that will be released as well.

Detailed shots of the entire release after the jump via mashkulture.
