The Vans Era is a simple silhouette that has become a favorite in recent years amongst Fixed Gear bicycle riders, but the Era has been around since about 1975, when Vans started getting the help of some young Southern California “Z-Boy” skateboarders named Tony Alva and Stacy Peralta in their design process. It has a similar look as the Vans Authentic, but features a bit more padding around the ankle area. With it’s simple design and the fact that it is the first shoe designed specifically with skateboarding in mind, and the Era will be around for a long time to come.
