Nike is looking for the best given talent from 14-19 year olds across the US. No, they aren’t looking for who has the best hops, jump shot, or post up, but instead for who are the best young shoe designers. In an interview a few days ago with Jordan Brand’s Director of Design, D’Wayne Edwards, we learned the of the great prizes and opportunities for those with talent.

The top dozen will receive a host of prizes totaling over $10k. The top two will receive the ultimate prize of being flown out to Beaverton to meet with D’Wayne Edwards, Tinker Hatfield, and other top Nike designers to present their work. The most valuable, yet priceless, prize to the top twelve is continual mentoring from Nike’s design crew to help the young designers.
