On Thursday, February 14th, a day known for love, Jordan Brand showed exactly that to the small Gulf Coast community of Slidell, LA. While a few weeks ago the French Quarter was live with celebration of Mardi Gras, about a half hour down the road this small community is still grieving from the destruction of Hurricane Katrina.
Jordan Brand held a press conference Thursday to announce their donation of $500,000 to the Slidell, LA Boys and Girls Club to build new facilities. Michael Jordan, Carmelo Anthony, and local hero Chris Paul were on hand with the President of JB Garry Cook to make the announcement of their commitment to the continued efforst of rebuilding the Gulf Coast. |
