Converse Weapon ’86 Returns

The return of a heated Los Angeles/Boston rivalry between the Lakers and Celtics welcomes too the return of the shoe that was at the center of some of the fiercest battles.?? The Converse Weapon was the shoe worn by commanders of their squads and Hall of Famers Larry Bird and Magic Johnson in the epic 1986 NBA Finals.?? Though many draw a near synonym between the shoes and the two former players mentioned, it should not be forgotten that the Converse Weapon was worn by other NBA greats that include Isiah Thomas, Bernard King, Mark Aguirre, Kevin McHale, Robert Parrish, Bill Laimbeer, as well as a young Karl Malone.

Though the Converse Weapon ’86 may be obsolete as a technical basketball shoe by today’s standards, at the time of its release, the Weapon featured some of the best design for stability that the market had to offer.
