| Back in January we got our first glimpse of the upcoming collab between Australian spot Provider and New Balance. Like with prior shop collabs Solebox and Collete, the New Balance 1500 silhouette was put to work. This time the shoe saw simple color blocking of blue, grey, and black in the way on a soft suede upper. The shoes are assembled in New Balance’s UK factory which is part of the reason for the retail price of $299AU ($282US).
The price hasn’t turned away too many New Balance heads who have become accustomed to high prices on international releases since the US dollar began declining several years ago. The shoes will release this Saturday, May 3rd at Solebox Berlin as an in store exclusive. A week later the sneakers will be released at Provider in Melbourne, Australia at their Manchester Lane shop at 10AM, Saturday May 10th. Later that day Provider will make 40 pairs available at 6PM (4AM EST). |
