A few days ago we gave you a sneak peek at the upcoming lineup of Nike Air Pippen retros that included the original “playoff” colorway that Pippen wore in the 1997 NBA Playoffs, but so far, we have not heard or seen anything to indicate that Nike will be bringing back the first color that Scottie wore on the court in White/Black-Silver. Scottie Pippen was treated with many great sneakers that he was the poster child for including the Nike Air Bounds, Maestros, and a few Uptempo’s to name a few, but he didn’t get his name etched onto a Nike shoe until the second to the last season that he played with MJ. An interesting factoid was that the Nike Air Pippen retailed for $160 back in the day which was the first time that any Nike athlete had a signature shoe that retailed for more than the?? Air Jordans (Air Jordan 12 $135). As we said prior, the Nike Air Pippen will return beginning later this summer, but no word yet whether this colorway will make it out of the Nike vault. |
