Street basketball legend, sneaker connoisseur, and overall NYC legend?Bobbito Garcia?teamed with?Kevin Couliau?to produce the independent film,?Doin’ It in the Park: Pick-Up Basketball, NYC?chronicling?the incredible world of New York streetball.?The movie showcases pickup games from the five boroughs, and includes interviews with NYC legends Kenny Smith, God Shammgod, Pee Wee Kirkland, and many more.?Garcia and Couliau funded the project themselves, and showcased it at numerous film festivals?around the world. The acclaimed film has won several awards, including Audience Award for Best Feature at the?Urbanworld Film Festival,?and the two now need your help to have it shown in theaters. Your donations will go towards to remaining music license fees, artwork, creation, marketing, promoting, and advertising theatrical bookings, and production costs for DVD/Blu-Ray mastering and manufacturing.
