Standout swimmer turned world class hooper, Tim Duncan has one of the most remarkable basketball resumes of anyone in the game. After winning the Naismith Award at Wake Forest he turned pro and was drafted first overall by the San Antonio Spurs in 1997. A successful rookie campaign was capped off with Rookie of the Year and Second Team All-Defense Honors. Duncan would go on to win 4 NBA Titles, 2 MVP Awards, and be named to 11 All Star Teams. The reserved big man made the transition from David Robinson counterpart to leader and captain. He is still revered as one of the best big men in the game although his calm demeanor and media shyness cause his talent to be taken for granted.
Duncan was lucky enough to inherit his mentor David Robinson?s shoe line. Nike outfitted a young Duncan in high end Air Max and Foamposite sneakers. He is most known for donning the Nike Total Air Foamposite Max, the first Foamposite shoe to contain full-length visible air. He was later given two signature shoes of his namesake that possessed innovative design and material choices. After a good run with Nike he left for adidas where he would also be given a signature shoe. The D Cool was a mid-top basketball shoe that feature adidas ClimaCool technology. Since then Duncan has been a key player in the ?Believe in Five? campaign in which adidas attaches their five marquee players to team based shoes with PE colorways.
