2013 will mark the first season Nike is sponsoring the English National Football (Soccer) Team. As you may recall, England was sponsored by Umbro, a Nike subsidiary, for a number of years. Nike sold Umbro to Iconix back in October and now has sole possession of the English sponsorship. The new kit features a white base that is made out of recycled polyester to help push the “Going Green” initiative. Also the kit features the English crest on the chest, signifying the 1966 World Cup win and a gold ribbon celebrating 150 years of Football.
