Standout at Oak Hill Academy and later North Carolina, Jerry Stackhouse’s smooth wing play and athleticism made him one of the first young guns to get the “Next Jordan” tag.? Stack would leave Carolina after his sophomore year and be selected third overall by the Philadelphia 76ers.? After an impressive rookie campaign with the Sixers he would pair up the next season with rookie Allen Iverson for a high scoring? back-court.? Shortly after settling in at Philly he would be dealt to the Detroit Pistons where he would get his chance to shine as their feature scorer.? Stack lead the Pistons to the playoffs and ushered in a new era of basketball in Detroit.? A good run in Detroit would be cut short as the Pistons traded him to Washington for Rip Hamilton.? In Washington Stack led the Wizards in scoring and assists but battled with injuries.? Eventually he landed in his current home, Dallas, where he is still a consistent scorer and member of the Maverick’s rotation.
Stackhouse rocked Nike’s and Jordan’s at Chapel Hill but elected to sign an endorsement deal with Italian brand Fila.? Stackhouse became a marquee endorser next to the Piston’s Grant Hill and would also receive a line of his own.? His most famous signature Fila’s were the Fila Stackhouse and the Fila Stack 2.? He would wear both of these models during his run with the Sixers.? Once a Piston, Stackhouse would wear Nike’s but never have a signature line.? Currently playing for the Dallas Mavericks, Stackhouse wears a variety of Adidas sneakers.
