The Air Zoom GP II was Gary Payton‘s second signature shoe that had a shiny synthetic leather upper and Zoom Air cushioning in the sole.? The shoe also includes the speed-lacing system with the “monkey paw” ankle support device to prevent ankle inversion.? Another key feature on the shoe was an internal TPU frame that was basically a hardened support frame that stabilizes your foot to promote natural heel-to-toe movement, lateral flexibility, and arch support.? Other accents included the “Payton” on the midsole and “Glove” on the tongue and back of the shoe.? All in all, the shoe was relatively popular because it was a lightweight basketball shoe.
