adidas Boost breaks out of the running department with the new Energy Boost Icon baseball cleat. For the first time in its successful history, the bouncy cushioning system is officially utilized on something other than a running shoe. Rumored to be included on next year’s adidas D Rose 5, baseball beats basketball for the debut of Boost outside of the striding segment. Designed for the five tool player that fully uses their athleticism, the Energy Boost Icon feature shockvent windows for maximum ventilation and a brand new print called Damascus. Intended to provide a jolt of energy towards the end of games when players have been on their feet for multiple hours already, these Boost cleats are part of a Silver Package that includes other adidas Baseball tools. Watch for Louisville and UC Irvine to debut these innovative cleats at the College World Series, and be on the lookout for a pair of your own for $150 at select adidas retailers.
