This Friday, Nike Basketball will unleash the highly anticipated “King’s Crown” Nike LeBron 11 EXT. Although the vibrant, shimmering colored panels seem to take precedence, the shoe’s lush suede base is not to be ignored. In fact, we’ve noticed a trend with LeBron and suede sneakers on court over the years. Today, we take a look back at LeBron James’ history of debuting suede sneakers on court.

Nike Air Max LeBron VII “Phantom” Suede PE

When: February 2010
King James first wore suede on the NBA hardwood during the 2009-2010 NBA campaign, his last season in Cleveland. The “Phantom” LeBron VII’s leather panels and mudguard were swapped out for black suede on a pair he wore against the Boston Celtics in a nationally televised game.
