The adidas ZX 500 is going through changes. After 30 years in the game as a staple model on the running market and later in the retro game, the heritage silo saw new life earlier this year with woven styling. Today, it welcomes its first sequel in the form of the adidas Women’s ZX 500 2.0. Rather Roshe in remodeling, this new build continues the lifestyle lineage of the heralded runner, revamping the upper while carrying over some of the same lines.
A mesh base offers cozy comfort and slip-on appeal, while a suede heel piece nods to the OG. Clever cage branding sees somewhat of an inverse approach to that of the ’84 offering, making for a fun and functional finish that plays both retro and modern. The adidas Women’s ZX 500 2.0 is available now in an Aluminum/Red-White colorway at Hype DC.
