You don’t have to look hard to find trendy takes on classic kicks. While the rest of the footwear world re-adapts archival models for better or worse, the Nike Air Force 1 takes a ‘been there, done that’ approach with a new “Copper” colorway. Far from vintage in composition but not reaching like other retros, this makeup proves sporty and street savvy– kind of like, wait for it, an Air Force 1. Low top frame and contrasting upper panels still register more like 2002 than 1982, while copper accents and icy outsoles give this take just enough flash to not get lost in the sauce of today’s ultra-bold blends. For now, the Nike Air Force 1 “Copper” is available for pre-order overseas at atmos-tokyo.
