On par with previous collabs by the Louisiana sneaker boutique, this Reebok The Pump—as part of the legendary sneaker’s 25th anniversary—by Sneaker Politics gets inspiration from their home state’s culture and history:

“Inspired by an Ice Cream Parlor that has stood the test of time, originating in the mid 1940s, Borden’s Ice Cream is the last of it’s kind. The only one remaining is here in Lafayette, Louisiana and has recently been rejuvenated by our local community in order to keep it’s doors open. Serving everything from milkshakes to banana splits, the menu has remained the same since it’s grand opening 70 years ago. Aiming to capture the original logo of our hometown Ice Cream Parlor, the upper consist of creamy suede with red & blue accents. ‘Sneaker Politics’  etched on the suede heel tab with ‘Last Of A Dying Breed’ on the perforated leather tongue.”
