Originally released in the 1980’s, the Puma Slipstream was the brand’s headlining basketball sneaker featuring the latest in stability and cushioning the brand offered for the basketball market. ?Brought back in 2002, the Slipstream underwent an image transformation as well as earning a new nickname. ?The shoes came back with faux fur and reptile skin and featured a stamp that read “The Beast” on the side of the sneaker. ?Quickly that name became ubiquitious with the model.
Seven years later, Puma has brought back “The Beast” as “The Monster”. ?Though the shoes rock the original Slipstream stamp on the side of the shoes, they come with modern treatments of faux fur, reptile skin, and patent leather. ?The Puma Slipstream Hi “Monster” is available in two colors in Paris at?colette and at Puma retailers in the US.
