Over the past two months, we have witnessed the birth of three new signature shoe lines for the likes of Kyrie Irving, Stephen Curry and Damian Lillard. There’s a chance that we might see the inception of even more signature sneaker lines, as there are a few other up-and-coming superstars in the NBA. We have a few candidates in mind. Check out our three candidates, and let us know which of the three you think should get a signature shoe deal by placing your vote in the poll on the last page.
Anthony Davis
Davis’ Case: We haven’t seen a solid big man signature shoe since 1999 when Nike released the classic Nike Air Garnett 3 for Kevin Garnett. 16 years later, the NBA again has a wiry, 6’10” superstar power forward who can do it all. Davis’ future is as bright as anyone in the league, and he can undoubtedly uphold a signature shoe line. Many already crave the Hyperposite player exclusives that Nike creates for him, and the brand could potentially do a lot with the Pelicans’ red, white, blue and gold color scheme.
