A big week for Drake is looking to be an even bigger weekend. Quieting commenters with “Charged Up” and dismissing dissers with “Back To Back,” Drizzy reclaimed Big Homie status in the rap game, and even garnered a release date for his first official shoe launch, the “OVO” Air Jordan 10.

While fans will have to wait until September to cop said sneakers, there’s already another Drake co-signed Air Jordan on the scene. This evening at the OVO Bounce Basketball Tournament, Drizzy debuted the “OVO” Air Jordan 8. Word of these kicks came up earlier this week, but a Twitter video from @AtotheBed proves the first official look.

At first glance, these 8s sport an all-black upper hosting nubuck underlays and leather strapping — an uncanny combo for the 8s. Gold accenting on the heel is assumed to be an owl, with tongue detailing undisclosed by this footage.

The wait for the “OVO” 10s to release at retail has been long, but could an Air Jordan 8 “OVO” drop be in the near future? This holiday season will see a major AJ8 push with the return of the “Aqua” and “Chrome” colorways, as well as the introduction to the “Three Time’s a Charm” pair.

Peep a glimpse at Drizzy’s AJ8s in the video below and let us know which Jordans you’d like to see get the OVO treatment.
