As expected, the “Black” adidas Yeezy Boost 350 release flew off the shelves this past weekend, offering a cool but cozy look for style guys and gals and hopefully a great back to school shoe for kids across the country. As also expected, not everyone that wanted a pair pulled in this release with many still looking.
With no need for the plug emoji but serving as such, Kim Kardashian posted a pile of “Black” Yeezy Boost 350s on her Instagram page, motioning fans and followers to visit YeezySupply.com for purchases and potentially free pairs. For most, this is the first time we’ve heard of YeezySupply.com in months — the very Virgil Abloh aesthetic site that offered a countdown to the Yeezy Season 1 Fashion Show as well as streaming video of the behind-the-scenes lead up.
Though Yeezy Supply is not quite meeting Yeezy Demand at the moment, the site is offering free giveaways for the shoes as well as restock alerts. Pretty cool, really. While the first season of Kanye’s adidas collection is aspirational in price point and relatively hard to get, it seems accessibility is an eventual goal for Mr. West and his design vision. So far, we’ve seen restocks of the Yeezy 750 Boost as well as word from Ibn Jasper that pairs will be reproduced on somewhat of a pull basis so that more people can eventually get them.
