With the Air Jordan 6 “Maroon” later this year, and the Air Jordan 4 “White Cement” in 2016, “Nike Air” branding is back and in full effect.
This all began with the Air Jordan 3 ’88 release in 2013, the shoe that trail blazed this retro branding renaissance. It seemingly sparked a creative movement within Jordan Brand that helped many an Air Jordan 1 High return OG branding to the tongue. And now it looks like “Nike Air” may be making its way back to the Air Jordan 5.
New images seen here showcase original script at the heel of the Air Jordan 5. Now, it definitely seems significantly smaller than on OG and 1999 pairs but that’s an argument for another day. For the moment, let’s just hope this is happening and sometime soon.
