Each and every holiday season the impetus of giving back should be pivotal within a person’s demeanor and character. Within our industry, the idea of coveting sneaker rather than giving sneakers is sometimes valued at alarming levels. However, just when you think all is lost, the sneaker culture showcases its wonderful side as we’ve witnessed with Randy The Cobbler‘s work for the initiative “Kicks For Kids”.
The initiative benefits the Boys & Girls Club of the East Valley, particularly, Tempe Ladmo Branch. Incorporating a silent auction will showcase sneakers from athletes, sneaker shops and sneaker enthusiasts. In addition to featuring some popular names that include the likes of event hosts PJ Tucker, Alex Rodriguez and Kellen Baker.
Also, Randy the Cobbler will be creating a Boost Moc Hybrid that fuses together a new color ‘Sand’ upper with Infrared Boost tags on the middle back fringe to match the back heel accent on the Boost sole. The aforementioned model will be a part of the festivity’s silent auction.
The Kicks for Kids VI takes place at the W Hotel in Scottsdale, Arizona on Saturday, December 12th. Doors open at 9pm.
