February draws nearer with each passing day, which brings closer the celebration of Black History Month. And as with tradition, images are beginning to surface showcasing Nike’s “BHM” collection inspired by the cultural and historical importance of African-American excellence and advancement.
Today highlights a first look at the Air Jordan 1 “BHM” edition from the aforementioned offering. Unlike last year’s iteration, which was more understated than anything else, this year’s take on the Jordan 1 elects for a predominately black base offset by Kente cloth encapsulating the centermost noir layer. White branding balances the heavily printed look, which digs into indigenous context with origins in the Ashanti Kingdom.
Stay tuned for a Jordan Release Date on this upcoming Air Jordan 1 “BHM.”
