Following the success of his latest release, the untitled unmastered. EP, which saw Kendrick Lamar brazenly unload studio sessions of unfinished yet daring, and politically charged recordings, the Compton native is back to work with Reebok for another collaborative footwear release.
Trailing his inaugural release with the brand that championed the Ventilator, for the follow-up Lamar opts for the Classic silhouette. What’s more, The Grammy award winning artist continues his “Neutral” theme, where gang intolerance acts as the centermost point of focus.
Emphasized through tonal expression, each pair features one blue shoe and one red, both of which are half branded as a sign of neutrality. The Reebok logo at the side paneling, as an ode to Lamar, is whitened out with exception of the “k.”
The Kendrick Lamar x Reebok Classic “Neutral” is set to release on July 15 according to retailer Finishline.
