Mentioning the Olympics and steroids in the same breath isn’t something most care to mutter. But Hanon, in their new collaboration with Italian sportswear staple Diadora, is singing it loudly as it creatively fuels their upcoming release.
The Hanon x Diadora IC 4000 “Yellow Eyes” is one of seven collaborations Diadora is producing in conjunction with the Summer Games. Here, the “yellow eyes” moniker is one used when an athlete is suspected as doping, with his or her eyes acting as an indicator to that end.
Interestingly enough, Ben Johnson, the most famous Diadora endorser, was stripped of his record-setting gold medal 100m performance during the 1988 Seoul Games for steroid usage. Diadora seems to be embracing this heritage which, by our estimation, they should as it’s an important part of Olympic history and their own.
Look for the Hanon x Diadora IC 4000 “Yellow Eyes” on August 6 exclusively at Hanon.
