This Saturday, January 28, marks the beginning of the Chinese New Year. Similarly, the start of the Year of the Rooster stands as the release date for the Air Jordan 12 “Chinese New Year” collection.
Coinciding with the release of the Air Jordan XXX1 “CNY” also due out this weekend, the shoe highlights bamboo eyelets on both the mens’ ($250) and girls ($160) colorways to ode Chinese custom. The “Taxi” inspired men’s colorway is obviously a throwback to the OG, while the girls iteration a is more modern execution that shares Chinese characters at the tongue with its counterpart.
