Virgil Abolh’s Off-White label is the collaborative king of the moment, working with both Jordan Brand and Nike on a reported ten sneakers — the most famous being an upcoming Air Jordan 1. Now, though, Abloh sets his sights on the original action sports brand, Vans, and their Old Skool.
Vindicated today by Highsnobiety‘s Eva Al Densudo, the Off-White x Vans Old Skool adopts a similar aesthetic as many of Virgil’s collaborations before it, offering a scaled back theme that almost mimics what shoes look like in pre-production. A white canvas upper is finished with overt black and red accents, while a bolstered black sole unit comes finished with the brand’s arrow logo stamped across it.
