Although the Nike Mayfly Woven is almost cult status in certain menswear circles and a style of choice for progressive women everywhere, the understated woven style remains far less revered than it should be. But maybe that’s how those who covet the shoe would prefer it.
Nike, certainly not stalling on new releases of the model, today debut an upcoming women’s iteration that highlights a gradient stripe through the shoe’s woven midsection. Fading from light blue to pink then onto a soft purple hue, an Ivory colored suede upper bolsters the look that’s due out on August 17 at Nike+ and Nike.com.
