After Karl Lagerfield announced that he’d be collaborating with Vans earlier this month, it was to wonder exactly how the fashion icon would approach this partnership. What themes or patterns would he use? What silhouettes? A couple of those questions are answered today as Vogue debuts his Karl Lagerfield x Vans Slip-On.
Lagerfield keeps it simple and classic with his silhouette choice. The Slip-On has emerged as a high fashion staple with versatility that extends beyond the warmer weather season. Moreover, he opts to utilize Vans’ checkerboard print in black and white. Yet, true to his larger than life persona, he places his own ponytail portrait silhouette interlocked within each square.
Grab a look at the Slip-On below and expect the release on September 7 at Vans and Karl.com. Later this season Lagerfield will also release laceless versions of the Sk8-Hi and Old Skool, respectively. Stay tuned.
