NikeLab continues a strong creative streak with a new iteration of the Air Max 97. The 20th anniversary style hasn’t seen much beyond material updates thus far, rendered in Ultra execution and suede execution. NikeLab, though, applies a sole-swap technique juxtaposing another Air Max gem from decades past.
Implementing midsole tooling from the Air Max Plus, NikeLab keeps with a traditional Black/White palette to allow the shoe’s nuances to shine through. Dubbed the NikeLab Air Max 97 Plus, look for pairs on October 12 at select premium retailers.
