Customizer Ecentrik Artistry took one of New York’s most prominent artist as a source of inspiration for a one of a kind masterpiece.

Jean-Michel Basquiat, Brooklyn’s very own painter, shifted the paradigm of modern art and the understanding of it during the 1970s. To this day, Basquiat has played a signifiant role in pop culture, as seen by his works as well as being mentioned in a variety of rap songs from J. Cole to Jay-Z.

By taking the Air Jordan 3 silhouette, Ecentrik Artistry added elements of Basquiat’s signature style including the iconic crown on the tongue of the shoe and dipping the shoe in eye grabbing colors. Although Basquiat died young at the age of 28, his influence in art and pop-culture continues to transcend through time.

Take a look at the shoes below and be sure to follow the artist here.
